A note to parents

Firm boundaries are a vital part of a child’s development. If a child is not given a strong and consistent structure, he will experience a great deal of anxiety in life. Knowing where the line is drawn is one of the essential life-defining lessons to be learned in early childhood. This is one of the major tasks of parents and educators. If you do not share this philosophy, we will need to address this issue before going further with the enrolment process.

Potential behavioural problems need to be addressed in a collaborative manner. This can be challenging to families who are integrating a structure for the first time. We feel that when family and teachers present a shared and consistent attitude, this will insure the child’s happiness and success in a community environment.

Under three years of age, we do not require children to be toilet trained. If your child is not toilet trained, we will ask you to collaborate very closely with your child’s teachers. This is an important milestone in a child’s development, the transition need to be as smooth and positive as possible.
